Day 01 ARRIVE DELHI
Late evening arrive at Delhi, capital of India. Traditional welcome and Check in to Hotel Le-Meridien and overnight at Hotel.

Day 02 DELHI
After Break fast Sight seeing tour of New Delhi visiting War Memorial Arch-India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar - built in 12th Century & Humayun's Tomb. Lunch in a restaurant outside the hotel. After lunch sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, visiting the Red Fort - one of the magnificent palaces of the East with Diwan-e-Am, where once stood the jeweled Peacock Throne - studded with diamonds and precious stones, and the graceful Pearl Mosque, Jama Masjid which is considered the biggest mosque in India, Chandni Chowk - a typical bazaar with narrow lanes and traditional traders, Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi - the father of the Nation was cremated and the Government Buildings. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 DELHI/JAIPUR (BY SURFACE)
After breakfast leave by Deluxe Air conditioned coach for Jaipur (262 Kms/5 hrs.) and on arrival check in to Hotel Raj Nivas Palace where Mr. Bill Clinton former President of U.S. A enjoyed his stay in Jaipur. Rest of the day free, dinner & overnight at Hotel.

Day 04 JAIPUR
After breakfast sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting Amber Fort Situated atop a hill overlooking the city, was the old capital before Jaipur was built. The Palace is laid out at different levels on the hillside and surrounded by a fortress. A ride on a decorated elephant to ascend the hill to the Palace is a thrilling experience for every visitor where a ride on the elephant is highlight of the tour. After lunch visit the Pink city because of the pink colour of the buildings, is picturesquely situated in the heart of Rajasthan surrounded on all sides except on the south by rugged hills crowned with medieval fortresses. Visit the City Palace, Mubarak Hall, Chandra Mahal and Pothikhana which house a rare collection of paintings and manuscripts as well as the museum of Arms and Armoury. Also visit Jantar Mantar - Jai Singh's observatory and the Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds.

Day 05 JAIPUR/AGRA -(BY SURFACE)
Early morning after breakfast leave for Agra by Deluxe Air conditioned bus enroute visiting the Deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri (250 kms/ 6 hrs), Fatehpur Sikri -Twenty seven miles from Agra, Akbar's Capital where phantoms of ancient pomp and splendour fill a deserted city, silent witnesses to a vanished dream. The capital had to be abandoned by the emperor for lack of adequate water supply. The marble tomb of the Saint 'Salim Chisti' and the Bulland Durwaza, the highest gateway in the world, are some of the highlights of the place. On arrival check in to hotel Mughal Sheraton. Evening visit Taj Mahal. TAJ MAHAL, best described as 'poetry in marble' because of its beauty, grace and exquisite workmanship, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 as a memorial to his beloved queen Mumtaj Mahal. Surely it is the greatest monument of love, and truly one of the wonders of the world. Also visit Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, standing opposite the Taj on the banks of the Yamuna river, which contains a wealth of palaces and monuments that recall the days of Mughal splendours.

Day 06 AGRA/KHAJURAHO - (BY AIR)
After breakfast leave for Agra airport to connect flight for Khajuraho. On arrival check in to Hotel Trident Oberoi. Afternoon sight seeing of Khajuraho. Khajuraho Once the capital of a powerful dynasty of Hindu Kings called the Chandellas ( 950 A.D.) it is today famous for its magnificent temples, considered to be among the most vibrantly original works of Hindu architecture and sculpture. Visit the Western and Eastern group of temples. Western group contains some of the magnificent and articate erotic sculptures. Afternoon free, In the evening a visit to Kandaria where cultural dances show of India are worth watching. Dinner & overnight at Hotel.


Day 07 KHAJURAHO/VARANASI (BY AIR)
After breakfast leave for Khajuraho airport in time to connect flight for Varanasi. On arrival check in to Hotel Clarks. Afternoon sightseeing of Varanasi. The oldest city in India, magnificently situated on the left bank of the Holy River Ganges is a living repository of Hindu Faith with its shrines, temples and the narrow lanes in the Bazaar full of brocades, silks and Indian toys. Visit the Bazaars and temples. Also visit Sarnath - the buried Buddhist city - seven miles from Varanasi where Gautam Buddha delivered his first sermon in the quietness of Deer Park and set the " Wheel of Law", is where you will visit the Sarnath Museum with the Ashoka Pillar, the lion capital - the emblem of the Government of India, is preserved.


Day 08 VARANASI/BOMBAY (BY AIR)
Early morning boat ride in the river Ganges. BOAT RIDE : Early morning boat ride on the Holy river Ganges to view the religious activity at the bathing Ghats for an insight into the cultural background of India. It provides an absorbing spectacle of thousands of Hindus engaged in their ritual bathing. You will also see cremation grounds on the Bank of the river Ganges. and Later on transfer to Airport in time to connect flight for Bombay. On arrival check in to Hotel The Oberoi. Dinner & overnight at Hotel.

Day 09
After breakfast sight seeing tour of Elephanta Caves Also called Gharpuri is an hour's trip by motor launch from The gateway of India. The name Elephanta was given by the Portugese from an elephant - like stone found there. And afternoon sightseeing of Bombay city. The Gateway of and the chief entry port of India is a largest industrial centre and is reputed to be the most cosmopolitan city in the east . With it's beautiful natural horbour , studied with emrald islands and palm - fringed shore which rises gradually to the mountain peaks . It is one of the finest waterfronts. Highlights of the city sightseeing include the Gateway of India, Hanging gardens, Prince of Wales Museum, The bustling Crawford Market, Flora Fountain and the Dhobi Ghats - a vast outdoor laundry. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 10 BOMBAY/COCHIN ( BY AIR)
Morning transfer to Bombay airport in time to connect flight to Cochin. On arrival check in to Hotel Casino. Afternoon sightseeing of Cochin The queen of Arabian Sea - a land of mountain ranges, rushing rivers, low lands studded with blue lagoons and the sea flanking the entire coastline. The imprints of it's colorful past can be seen in the people and the monuments of Coachin , even today. Visit the Jewish Synagogue , the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church and the Chinese fishing nets are interesting. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 11 COCHIN/PERIYAR (BY SURFACE)
After Breakfast leave for Periyar (185 Kms/5 hrs) by Deluxe air conditioned bus and boat en route visiting the famous back waters of Kerala, on arrival check in to Hotel Lake Palace or Spice Village and overnight at Hotel.

Day 12 PERIYAR
After breakfast visit The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (Entry: 0600 to 1800 hrs) : Lying close to plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady is one of the world's most fascinating natural wildlife reserves - the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Spread across 777 sq km, of which 360 sq. km is thick evergreen forest, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the Reserve attracts visitors from all over the world.

The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar, however, are the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 13 PERIYAR/MADURAI (BY SURFACE)
After breakfast Leave by deluxe air conditioned bus for Madurai (137 kms/4.5 hrs) and on arrival check in to Hotel Taj Residency . Evening visit the Famous Meenakshi Temple , a structure in the Dravidian style of architecture. The history of the city dates back over 2,000 years when it was the capital of the Pandyas. The most intresting feature of the temple is its Hall of a thousand pilars. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14 MADURAI/TRICHY (BY SURFACE)
After breakfast Leave by deluxe air conditioned bus for Trichy (316 Kms/8hrs) and on arrival check in to Hotel Sangam. Evening Visit Temples of Trichy One of the very ancient towns of Tamil Nadu, has many interesting relics of Pallay art ( 7th century A.D.) - only 6 miles away is the great temple of Srirangam - an island on the Cauvery. This is a massive temple with a 100 pillar hall highly decorated with carvings. Dinner and overnight at your Hotel.

Day 15 TRICHY/TANJORE ( BY SURFACE)
After breakfast Leave by deluxe air conditioned bus for Tanjore (54 kms/2 hrs) and on arrival check in to Hotel Purshottam. Afternoon sightseeing of Tanjore The capital of the Cholas, a powerful dynasty of the kings who ruled from the 10th to the 14th Centuries A.D. is to this day, a well known center of classical art and literature. The city is well known for its magnificent Shree Brihadeeswara Shiva Temple built in the Dravidian Style whose vimanam soars 216 ft. high and the dome rests on a single 80 ton granite block. Also visit the Saraswathi Mahal Library containing rare collections of ancient books and manuscripts in various languages on various subjects. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 16 TANJORE/PONDICHERRY (BY SURFACE)
After breakfast Leave by deluxe air conditioned bus for Pondicherry (177 kms/6hrs) and on arrival check in to Hotel Anandha Inn. Afternoon sightseeing of Pondicherry visiting This former French Colonial city in Tamil Nadu didn't come under Indian rule until 1954. Pondicherry otherwise known a Puducherry means a "New Hamlet" which is located on the Coromandal Coast. Here people speaking 55 different languages reside and inspite of Linguistic plethola there is no restlessness but absolute harmony. It's main attraction is actually outside of town: the ashram at Auroville, built by followers of Sri Aurobindo, a philosopher/prophet born in 1870. The International town where people of different countries reside belongs to humanity as a whole. Matrimandir the famous monument is constructed by the Auroville Society which represent the flower Lotus. Also visit 400 years old Manakula Vinayagar Temple which has several fresco paintings on the walls telling the life story of half human and half animal lord. You shall also visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram named after Sri Aurobindo, who was a National Leader, famous for his integral Yoga and philosophical literary works. A French Lady, Madam Mirr Richard, followed his spiritual path and the Samadhi of both Sri Aurobindo and Mother are situated at main premises of the Ashram. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

Day 17 PONDICHERRY/MAHABALIPURRAM (BY SURFACE)
After breakfast Leave by deluxe air conditioned bus for Mahabalipurram (100 kms/3 hrs) and on arrival check in to Hotel Ashok. Afternoon brings you to the shore temples lashed by the sea. This is one of the early temples to be constructed in this area. The "Five Rathas", a group of monolithic monuments and animal figures carved out of solid rock - aare almost like an artist's experiment in variety of form. Later on relax on the beach. Day 18 MAHABALLIPURAM/KANCHIPURAM/CHENNAI (BY SURFACE)

Day 19 CHENNAI
After breakfast Sight seeing of Chennai The capital of the state of Tamil Nadu and the cultural Gateway to South India, Chennai is in some respects unlike other Indian cities. The National Art Gallery, the Museum with some beautiful temple prizes and the finest collection of South Indian bronzes are quite interesting. St. Mary's Church, Peoples Park and the beautiful Marina Beach which is the second longest beach in the world as well as the clock towers are worth visiting and evening see traditional Dances. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.
